Welcome to The Nano.
The Nano is one publication in a billion and that (made up but metaphorically pretty accurate) statistic is humbling. The sheer odds of finding readers on Substack is almost enough to make me go eat M&Ms and watch reruns of beloved TV shows. Instead, I write into the cosmic void to build community, to gather a cadre of soul-sisters and brothers, and to strike up conversations with humans who need loving support as we navigate our journey from stardust to starlight in what appears to be an incredibly tumultuous time to be alive.
This particular publication is about getting embodied—particularly as white-passing people—and about building community, finding mutual-aid, being active citizens of a divided country, growing with grace, and mothering in the time of fire and ice. More writing links and information are on my website.
